GDGIS SPORTS MUN-2020 Conference organised to promote sports in schools

SURAT, GUJARAT: G D Goenka International School, Surat , Gujarat has been appreciated by the India Book of Records (IBR) for organising Sports Mun-2020 Conference. There were six committees namely WHO, FIFA, IPL 1, IPL 2, IOC and IP. The event was divided into five committee sessions followed by socials and a Zumba session, as confirmed on January 12, 2021. GDGIS SPORTS MUN-2020 conference was held on Dec 30-31, 2020. Sports was introduced for the first time in MUN. Over 100 delegates registered and 25 schools participated, including the schools from Singapore and Sharjah. Principals of various schools and sports personalities participated in the opening as well as closing ceremonies. Battle of Voices 21 : India’s First Podcasting Competition held

New Delhi : The Battle of Voices 2021, a podcasting competition was organized recently by Bloggers Alliance, a national association of bloggers, storytellers and content creators. The niche, yet ever-growing medium of podcasting pulled Students, Working Professionals and Independent Creators alike. With a window of 28 days, the competition received more than 70 entries from Indians residing both within the subcontinent and based in USA and Canada .  The virtual award ceremony was jointly organized by Voice of Achievers (a podcast production company currently producing podcasts to help the youth navigate career-related and professional challenges), Kids Chaupal (a mobile app helping children in growth and development), and Pokeify (an influencer marketing platform bridging the gap between influencers and brands). Dr Laxman Singh cracks UGC NET six times in 11 subjects

    Muzaffar Nagar:   Dr Laxman Singh of Muzaffar Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) has got appreciation from the India Book of Records (IBR) on qualifying UGC-NET exam six times. He qualified UGC-NET examinations in 11 subjects including Political Science, Sociology, Indian Culture, Arabian Culture and Islamic Studies between December 31, 2005 to September 24, 2020, as confirmed on January 19, 2021. Dr Laxman Singh said, “I got failed two times in the 9 th standard and it took me six years to complete the bachelor degree, as I got failed five times in my bachelor degree programme. I was considered a very poor students that’s why I wanted to prove my mettle to the world and now I have done that.” Born on June 6, 1978, Dr Singh has developed a very good habit.   Abhiraj Shee of East Midnapore, West Bengal, has got appreciation certificate from the India Book of Records (IBR) for answering 100 questions related to national symbols (18), General Knowledge (31), memorials (4), inventions (4), sports (5), animal-based (10), mathematics (8), opposite words (3), computer-based (4) and planet-based (13) questions in 4 minutes and 30 seconds, at the age of 6 years and 8 months, as confirmed on January 15, 2021. Chandigarh:  Dev Samaj College of Education (DSCE), Sector 36B, Chandigarh organized a 3 day workshop on Career Counselling 'Rekindle Psychological Assessment and Counselling Skills' in the college auditorium. New Delhi : The record for being the youngest researcher to publish his research paper in a reputed journal was set by Tannay Sanjeev Kumar, who is from Mumbai, Maharashtra . His article titled ‘Optical Fiber’ was published in Asian Journal of Convergence in Technology on March 28, 2020 at the age of 14 years, 4 months and 25 days, as confirmed on January 21, 2021. Tannay (born on November 3, 2005) says, “I like to explore new fields and therefore I started researching. Whatever I researched about, I wrote it down in my book. I got the idea to share this information in the form of research papers, therefore, I wrote research papers and published them in internationally reputed journals and also presented them in research conferences.
