MRA School-27, CCPCR & Yuvsatta celebrate International Day of Girl Child


Chandigarh: MRA Senior Secondary Model School, Sector 27, Chandigarh celebrated the International Day of Girl Child in the school premises under 'Girl’s India Project' in collaboration with CCPCR and Yuvsatta NGO with great enthusiasm.

An informative programme was planned by the MRAite teachers and students with Buddy School (Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 23 (NYC) Chandigarh). As a ritual, the programme started with a melodious song highlighting the importance of a girl child. A short documentary on girl child’s empowerment was shown to the girls.

All the girls wore badges quoting PROUD TO BE A GIRL. Not only this, girls expressed their emotions with the help of various posters, speeches and recital of poems. All the girls and educators together took a pledge for a better tomorrow.

At the end, Director of the school, Ms Rachna Mahajan and Principal Dr Seema Biji inspired the girls with their enlightening speech and gave saplings to the participants from GMSSS 23 (NYC) Chandigarh as a token of appreciation. BW
