  The record for the fastest world mapping by a group of girls was set by four students of Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Residential School (APTWRS), Alur, Kurnool , at APTWREI Society, Gurukulam, Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) on December 30, 2020. The group included Banavath Gayathri Bai (Group leader), Sugali Roja Bai, Madiga Manjula and Thota Anu Vyshnavi Devi. They drew an outline of the world map marking the boundaries of all (195) countries of the world in a time span of 1 minute and 15 seconds only. The record has been certified by the India Book of Records (IBR). The attempt was inspired by the coach and principal of the school, K S Sai Kishore. The girls practiced for one year before attempting for the record. They used to give direct demos of in schools and to make the students aware of this unique learning style. सोत नदी बदायूं शहर से होकर बहती है। ऐतिहासिक नगरी बदायूं गंगा व रामगंगा नदी के बीच स्थित है। सोत या स्रोत नदी को कभी गंगा के बाद दूसरी बड़ी नदी माना जाता था। गंगा की सहायक नदी सोत का उद्गम मुरादाबाद से होता है और यह बिसौली तहसील से प्रवेश करके बदायूं व दातागंज तहसीलों से होते हुए शाहजहांपुर जिले में गंगा से जा मिलती है। यह एक बरसाती नदी है, जो बदायूं में बड़े सरकार की दरगाह के निकट होकर बहती है। ढाई सौ साल पहले मुगल शासक मोहम्मद शाह ने रामपुर पर हमला करने के बाद लौटते वक्त इसके किनारे आराम किया था। तरोताजा होने पर उन्होंने नदी को यार-ए-वफादार नाम दिया। बदायूं में गंगा की इस सहायक नदी के किनारे बहुत से अतिक्रमण हो रखे थे, जिन्हें अब हटाया जा रहा है। बदायूं की मौजूदा सांसद डॉ. संघमित्रा मौर्य ने सोत नदी और बिल्सी से बदायूं की बीच बहने वाली एक अन्य बरसाती नदी भैंसोर के जीर्णोद्धार की पहल की है। उनकी योजना सोत नदी के किनारे-किनारे वृक्षारोपण करने की है। बदायूं में जहां-जहां नदी उथली हो गयी है, उन स्थानों पर मनरेगा के तहत खुदाई कार्य शुरू किया गया है। बदायूं सदर के विधायक एवं उत्तर प्रदेश स...

Sarus Crane (Grus antigone), mostly found in the Indian subcontinent, South-East Asia and northern Australia, is listed as 'vulnerable' because its population is decreasing at a very high rate, may be because of human encroachment on its habitats and degradation of wetlands and high use of pesticides in agriculture. Sarus is a common feature in Palai village of district Budaun, in western Uttar Pradesh.  Few of these birds have suffered because of the theft of its eggs/ chicks for trade and medicinal purposes. Some farmers may also like to get them away to limit the damage to crops.  The Use of machines in farming may threaten birds breeding on agricultural land.  The total world population of Sarus Crane is estimated at 15,000-20,000 birds.
